Basics-

  • Rate is approx 90 min
  • Abnormal ST Segments
  • Regular Rhythm
  • Note T waves in V2-V5

What is it?

Sinus Rhythm with Anterior wall MI. This MI is most likely old (hours or even days).

Discussion - Regular ventricular and atrial activity. Normal P-R. Elevation in ST segments in leads V1-V5, small elevation in V6, I and AVL. T waves are inverted in leads I and AVL. T waves also show an "arrowhead" type of appearance in leads V2-V5. This is usually typical of ischemia.

The shapes of the ST segments along with the inverted T waves mean a older MI hours to days old. There will be a gradual return of the ST segments to baseline with the T waves remaining flipped for several days or weeks.
