EMS Organizations

We can custom design a Field Guide, Policy and procedure book or just about anything you need to keep your employees informed and ready. Books can include your local protocols, policies, phone numbers, logos etc. They can be perfect bound (paperback style), spiral or combed bound or even 3 ring binder bound. Training Centers

Have you ever wanted to hand your students a complete guide to their education? Well, we can provide just that. Your program outline, your program policies, local phone numbers, course requirements and local protocols. Give your students an all inclusive guide and never have them question what is expected again.

Some Details in setting up a Custom Publication
 

You will need to send us the following information, either on disk via email / snail-mail (Microsoft Word/Quark/Adobe formats Preferred). We prefer not accept hard copy versions. If you must send a hard copy please add $150.00 to the total cost of the job. You may of course add any subject not listed and omit any subject you do not want included.

NOTE: All above information needs to be on disk or emailed in a word processing format. i.e. MS Word, Adobe, Rich Text, etc. If above is in hard copy form only we require a minimum book order of 150 books, as well as $150.00 to compensate for the time required to create your book.

We require that you prepay for your first minimum order of 100 books plus shipping and handling for a total of $532.00. This includes the labor intensive process, approximately 100-140 hours, of designing your books.

NOTE: If your Protocols are more than 40% Flow Charts there will be an additional timeline to create the books. It is very labor intensive to recreate all the flow charts as appose to text. We do not charge extra for pictures, charts or graphs. 

NOTE: If your formatted book runs over the recommended
250 pages, (including the misc. section in the back) the fee will have to be adjusted up 25% due to having to technically create two separate books. 

The files you send must be in the order you want them in the book as well as proper page breaks so we know how to format your book.

We will send you a 8.5 x 11 proof of the book showing the layout etc. You can make any corrections, subtractions, additions etc. and send it back to us for finalization. This is a free service and is prior to you receiving a final draft of what your book will actually look like. Changes to this first proof are free. We only charge for changes "after" the final draft is produced. 

We will send a final draft of the book to you for approval prior to printing. This is included in the publication price. It will show what your book will actually look like. If corrections, subtractions, additions etc.  need to be made at this time due to your oversight then there is a charge of $40.00 per hour to make the changes. We also charge a $35.00 fee to produce another draft for your approval. We will perform a general spelling, grammar and layout check prior to your draft and will contact you with any questions, but we cannot be held responsible for errors made on your end if we do not catch the mistake. Otherwise we would have to start charging editing fees as well as design, layout and publication.
 

We require 4-6 weeks to create the first draft of your book, we will then send a draft to you for corrections, additions, etc., then approximately 2-3 weeks after we receive your corrected version we will send out your full order. Future books that you may wish to purchase may be done on-line since at that time we will have all your data set up. First order fees are required to be paid in full prior to start of project.

Books can be perfect bound (like a paperback), spiral or comb bound or 3 ring binder bound. Standard size is 4" X 5". If you require a smaller or larger size, please contact us for a quote.

All prices noted are for Black and White printing only. If you require color in the publication, please contact us with details. Depending on number of colors etc. there may be a slight price increase.
 

We can also create your publication in .pdf or .doc for Palm. So your employees can download the item. We will make these downloads available right here on the EMS Solutions website or we can even have them placed on CD-ROMS. Contact us for details on this cost effective production.
